The HYDROSYS consortium is currently planning the upcoming expert workshops in Davos (Switzerland) and Helsinki (Finland). The workshops will carefully focus on the approach taken in the project, validating its developments, and working towards securing impact.

The first technical review will take place in Brussels, where the consortium will present their results of the first project year.

A quarterly meeting was held in Cambridge, where the latest stage of developments and integration was discussed, and further plans envisioned. The meeting among others focused on the data pipeline of the sensors to the handheld devices, simulation, and the latest stage of deployments. The consortium is making preparations for further in-field testing of the handheld devices, and the first deployment of the blimp.

A quarterly meeting was held in Davos, where the consortium among others discussed the integration of the research system prototype sub-systems encompassing the data pipeline, the new handheld device developments, and the latest stage of deployments. First on-site test were done with handheld Augmented Reality setup, recording geo-tagged images for later retrieval, and checking the initial state of the interface with the registered data labels.

The consortium met to discuss the second phase of the project, reflecting and planning system design and deployment of the proposed system infrastructure. Of specific focus were the simulation system, and the deployment of the unmanned aerial vehicle, the blimp.

The HYDROSYS consortium met in Helsinki last october. The main discussion topics were User Centered Desing and the work ahead in the coming months.

The HYDROSYS consortium is actively involving end-users by performing numerous interviews and demonstrations with key users. Scheduled are meetings in August, September and October with water management people from the Rhone Valley and the Vantaa area, warning / hazard specialists, Swiss and Finish hydrologists and environmental scientists, and environmental activists.
